What is FoodScoop?

FoodScoop is an online ordering system that provides users with a secure and convenient method to order food online from restaurants and takeaways.

Is FoodScoop free to use?

Using FoodScoop's online food ordering portal is completely free. We don’t charge any additional fees to those charged by our restaurants. We actually offer a Restaurant Lowest Price Policy to ensure that you won't find a better deal for the food you're ordering.

How can I pay?

FoodScoop accepts cash on delivery or pickup, credit card or PayPal payments.

How does FoodScoop work?

In just four simple steps, you can receive your delicious meal.

  1. 1. Search. You have the option to search by address, by the name of the restaurant or store, by their street, by cuisine, or by food.
  2. 2. Select. You will be shown a list of results where you can select the Merchant you would like to purchase your food from.
  3. 3. Order. Create your food order by adding food items into your cart. If you would like food to be cooked a certain way, feel free to add a note by selecting the 'note' icon underneath the food item in the 'Your Order' summary on your right. The Merchant will do their very best to cater to your preferences. Then select whether you would like the food delivered or whether you would like to pick it up yourself, and the time required. Please note that each Merchant may have minimum spend amounts for delivery and/or pickup.
  4. 4. Checkout. Almost there! Now just select a payment method. Each Merchant will vary depending on what payment methods are accepted, however at minimum, every Merchant will accept cash on pickup or delivery. If you are paying in cash and would like some change, you can also specify this when you select "Cash".

Then that's it! FoodScoop will do everything else for you! 

Can FoodScoop arrange catering?

FoodScoop is an online food ordering system and is only responsible for relaying orders to the respective restaurants and food stores. While FoodScoop is not responsible for catering services, we will do all we can to help you. FoodScoop can contact the restaurant or food store for you, at no additional cost to you. You can email the FoodScoop Customer Service Team at hello@foodscoop.com.au.

How do I create a FoodScoop account?

Click here or click on the "Sign Up" button on the top left hand side of the header. Then fill in your required details accurately, read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy as required. Once you have approved of these terms, conditions and policies, click 'Create my account'. To ensure the integrity of orders, you will receive an SMS sent to the mobile number you have entered with a verification code. Enter this verification code in the next screen. If this code is correct, registration should now be completed and you should receive a welcome email. Now you can be on your way to order delicious food!

Can I get a refund for an order I already paid for online?

Where an order is cancelled by the Merchant or FoodScoop, we will refund the full order amount back, within 24 hours upon confirmation from the related parties, after the customer has sent a request for a refund to the FoodScoop Support team at support@foodscoop.com.au. This request for a refund must be made by the customer in writing, within 14 days of the original transaction. The refund will be processed online through the same payment gateway it was originally made to us. If you, the customer, cancels an order, we will refund the money online on a case-to-case basis. Please note that cancelling an order less than 30 minutes before the time for pickup or delivery will unlikely be refundable as the food would have already been prepared. However, we will resolve this on a case-by-case basis. 

What type of restaurants and food stores are listed on FoodScoop?

FoodScoop has a wide selection of cuisines and foods you can order - you'll be spoilt rotten. We have a growing number of restaurants and food stores on FoodScoop's list. You can make an order from restaurants serving cuisines including Chinese, Italian, Indian, Vietnamese, Thai, Greek, Pizza, Bangladeshi, Turkish and many more.

I didn't receive an order confirmation.

On very rare occasions, there may be an issue with the system or server and you will not receive your confirmation email or SMS notifying you that your order has been received. Most often, your order has been processed and it is simply an error with the email or SMS not getting through to you. To be 100% sure, your best bet is to get in touch with us so we can check and confirm that your order has been sent to the Merchant. You can email the FoodScoop Support Team at support@foodscoop.com.au

Are there delivery charges?

This depends on the restaurant or food store. Usually if a restaurant or food store is closer to you, they will often deliver for free or for small fee. If the representative from the restaurant or food store has to drive a longer distance to deliver the food order to you, they will typically charge a little extra for this service.

Where is my food? Who do I call to check on my food?

FoodScoop has no control over the actual delivery of the food you have ordered. However, FoodScoop will do all we can to help you if there is an issue. You can contact the FoodScoop Support Team who will investigate your order on your behalf. You can email the FoodScoop Support Team at support@foodscoop.com.au.

I am unhappy with the food I ordered. Can I get a refund?

FoodScoop is not responsible for the preparation. cooking, presentation or delivery of the food or dish. However FoodScoop will do all we can to help you. If you're unhappy with the food you ordered, you can contact us and we can contact the Merchant on your behalf to inform them of your dissatisfaction. We will then negotiate with the Merchant to see what they will offer you in compensation. You can email the FoodScoop Support Team at support@foodscoop.com.au.

Is cutlery provided?

FoodScoop is not responsible for catering services. However you can add a note regarding cutlery in the comment box when you checkout, and we will let the restaurant know that you requested cutlery. We cannot guarantee that your request will be fulfilled by the restaurant.

Can I customise my order?

You may add whatever food or dish you wish that is listed on the menu of the particular restaurant or food store. With each food item, there may be an option to customise the sizing, flavour, or cooking style of the particular food. However, not all food items will allow you to do this. You can however add special instructions in the comment box when you check out. The restaurant or food store will then try to adjust your order accordingly. For example, you can add a note asking for 'non-spicy' or 'meat cooked rare-medium' in that comment box before you checkout.

How long does it take to process the refund?

If you are due for a refund from FoodScoop, the money will be credited back to you within 3-5 working days from the date the refund is processed, unless otherwise specified.

How long will the delivery take?

This will depend on how busy the Merchant is at the time, the size of the order, and the distance from the Merchant to your delivery address. Once your order has been processed by the FoodScoop online portal, we will send you an email and SMS to confirm your order and the Merchant's typical expected delivery time. If there are any delays past the expected delivery time for the Merchant, you can contact the Merchant directly to receive an update on your order.

How do I cancel my FoodScoop order?

Whether you are able to cancel your order will depend on many factors, including but not limited to, the restaurant or food store you place the order with and the time since you first made the order. To ensure the restaurant or food store processes the cancellation immediately, you should call them directly (their number is provided to you in the order confirmation SMS and email). Typically if restaurant or food store has reasonably already prepared the food and is unable to resell it, it is not possible to receive a refund for this order. However we will do everything we can to help you and the Merchant reach a mutual solution. Email us at support@foodscoop.com.au, and we will help you cancel your order.

How does the FoodScoop Loyalty Points system work?

When you sign up for an account, you immediately receive a bonus 1,000 FoodScoop Loyalty Points to your account. For every $1 you spend, you earn 20 FoodScoop Loyalty Points. These Points can be redeemed for cash to spend on future meals on FoodScoop - saving you money on future meal purchases! 5,000 FoodScoop Loyalty Points can be redeemed to $5.00 AUD. Further, when you add a review for a restaurant that you have ordered from, you will earn another 20 Loyalty Points! Be rewarded every time you eat!

How do I make changes to my FoodScoop order?

Email us at support@foodscoop.com.au, and we will help change your order for you. However if the delivery has been discharged already and the Merchant is already on their way, no changes can be made.

What if I'm not at home when the delivery man comes by? Will they redeliver?

You will receive a confirmation email and a SMS from us, stating the delivery time of your order so you will be able to arrange for someone to be home when the Merchant's delivery person comes by. Unfortunately, redelivery is not possible. 

Are there halal or vegetarian or vegan menus?

Yes, you can filter for halal or vegetarian or vegan restaurants by filtering by "Cuisine" and browse the menus on our website.

How do I provide feedback for FoodScoop?

How do I know if my FoodScoop order got through?

You will receive a confirmation email and SMS from FoodScoop, stating the orders you have selected and the time it will take to be delivered to you.

I did not receive what I ordered. Why did this happen?

There may be times when a mistake has been made and items from your order are missing when the delivery is made. To prevent this from happening, you should review your order with the delivery person to confirm the correct items have been delivered. If something is missing, you can contact us and we can contact the Merchant on your behalf as soon as possible so they can be given the opportunity to resolve the problem. You can email the FoodScoop support team at support@foodscoop.com.au (available every day, 9am - 11pm AEST).

Do I have to be a member to use FoodScoop's food ordering service?

Anyone can use our service. However, when you order food, you must be logged in to your account or you have the option to create a free FoodScoop account. With an account on FoodScoop, your previous orders will be captured in our system, and you will be able to retrieve your previous orders as well as your delivery address. This allows you to conveniently make future orders in even less time!

Can I combine orders from a list of restaurants and food stores?

You can order from more than one restaurant or food store but unfortunately you are unable to combine the orders. Each order must be made and paid for separately.

Is the FoodScoop site secure? 

The FoodScoop website is secure and uses the latest technology to encrypt your information. We do not store your any credit card information and any credit card payments are processed securely and externally via PayPal. We also have a Customer Care Team and Support Team that makes sure every order goes out to the restaurant and food store correctly. Have no fear, we will take good care of your internet order.
